Bernardo LaPallo is a well-known supercentenarian who turned 113 this year – but only looks as though he could just barely start the retirement process. He continued to follow his father’s lifestyle advice and didn’t blindly accept the new, potentially harmful, ways of living. Some have disputed his age claims, but most agree that Mr. LaPallo is likely to be over 100 years old and has a lot of valuable information to pass on.

His creed: You are what you eat.

He eats mostly organic veggies and fruits, walks, does crossword puzzles, reads voraciously, plays checkers and cultivates his faith, spirituality and the Golden Rule.
